About the Classic Vespa 125
The life of the Vespa (Italian for wasp) began after World War II. The manufacturer, Piaggio, decided to create a vehicle for the masses. Since then, over 30 models have been produced and millions sold worldwide. The 1953 film Roman Holiday, starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn gave the Vespa considerable exposure and helped ensure its success.
